JJ

August 6, 2012

There is a great post today over at Dan's site. It's well worth the read and is prompting this particular post.

I grew up wanting to be a photojournalist. For a variety of reasons that never happened but my love of journalism hasn't waivered. This group of images was a result of spending the day with JJ back in 2007. I've shown these before but never together in one gallery. It was a workshop as part of the Palm Springs Photo Festival with Colin Finlay.

I don't get the chance to make this kind of work today. And as pointed out in the post with Eric Labastida, documentary projects take a long time to make happen. I'm not even sure where I could spend 10 years doing a project. But I do keep looking.

If you get a moment check out the images of JJ in the gallery section and let me know what you think.
